Philip Buttaravoli: Minor Emergencies: Text with BONUS PocketConsult Handheld Software
This book contains a dozens of conditions that happen in the office, many of which are difficult to find on UpToDate, PubMed, etc. VERY practical. (*****)
Nigel Raby: Accident and Emergency Radiology
Great book. Don't moonlight without it! (*****)
M. Patrice Eiff: Fracture Management for Primary Care: 2nd Edition
Another "must-have." It features a fracture-by-fracture discussion of initial management, definitive management, which splint, which cast, when to re-examine, when to re-xray, and when to refer. Even if you choose not to provide definitive fracture care and casting, this book is still useful if only for the initial management section. (*****)
John L. Pfenninger: Pfenninger and Fowler's Procedures for Primary Care 2nd Edition and Multimedia Primary Care Procedures DVD, Online, and Pocket Procedures Manual
This is THE must-have reference book for a Family Physician doing procedures. (*****)

Not that I know of. Check here for now. Looks like they are significantly delayed.

So now that 2009 is more than half over, at some point it doesn't even make sense to buy the 2009 version of the Sanford guide for iPhone and just wait for the 2010 version, right? Of course, that assumes that they're still planning to release the 2009 version for the iPhone.

I feel your frustration. I called a few weeks ago... they are "working on it" ... SO... keep using the paper version or ePocrates is my best advice. Here's hoping for 2010....

I just chatted to their support who told me they would not be releasing it but they would begin to release other applications for the iphone next month.

What do you mean by "other applications"? The 2010 version of Sanford guide? Or looking at other products like the HIV guide? etc. I for one, would certainly buy a copy of the Sanford guide on iPhone, I'd LOVE to lighten the load of my pockets! Thanks!

I have it directly from the President of Antimicrobial Therapy that they are working on new digital editions of the Sanford Guide for Antimicrobial Therapy for the iPhone and iPad, and expect to complete it in mid September this year.
