Philip Buttaravoli: Minor Emergencies: Text with BONUS PocketConsult Handheld Software
This book contains a dozens of conditions that happen in the office, many of which are difficult to find on UpToDate, PubMed, etc. VERY practical. (*****)
Nigel Raby: Accident and Emergency Radiology
Great book. Don't moonlight without it! (*****)
M. Patrice Eiff: Fracture Management for Primary Care: 2nd Edition
Another "must-have." It features a fracture-by-fracture discussion of initial management, definitive management, which splint, which cast, when to re-examine, when to re-xray, and when to refer. Even if you choose not to provide definitive fracture care and casting, this book is still useful if only for the initial management section. (*****)
John L. Pfenninger: Pfenninger and Fowler's Procedures for Primary Care 2nd Edition and Multimedia Primary Care Procedures DVD, Online, and Pocket Procedures Manual
This is THE must-have reference book for a Family Physician doing procedures. (*****)
« Clopidogrel and Omeprazole: FDA Advisory | Main | Asthma Guidelines, Severity, Treatment Initiation and Monitoring »
